• A Rosé Night for gourmet in Puegnago del Garda


    A gourmet evening "in pink" in Puegnago del Garda to know and taste the Chiaretti of the Brescia Riviera of Lake Garda combined with the gastronomic creations of a group of local chefs. It is the "Rosé Night", scheduled for the evening of August 26, in the frame of Villa Galnica.

    Opening is at 7.30 pm with the Entrée del Chiostro, a series of four proposals made by as many restaurants. The tasting will continue in the Villa Park with the main course and dessert.

    Nadia's and Angelo Meloni's Cafeteria and Pasticceria dell'Ospite in Puegnago will also propose the Brutto Ma Buono cookie, the coffee comes from Lucaffè by Gianluca Venturelli in Carpenedolo, while the bread comes from Pietro Freddi's Bakery at the Pizzeria da Marietta in Gardone Riviera.

    Ticket: 20 euros, including the entrance to "Groppello Experience", a tasting bench of over 50 Red Wine based on native vine Groppello hosted in Villa within the Puegnago Fair.

  • A weekend between typical products and culture by the castle in Moniga

    Art, music, culture, food, sustainable economy: these are the subjects of MonigArt Festival, another event that will take place in the magical setting of the castle in Moniga del Garda after the great success at the beginning of June with Italia in Rosa (Italy in pink). The event is scheduled on Saturday 1st July and on Sunday 2nd July in the park of the castle with a marvellous scenario over Lake Garda. More than 30 stands for 50 companies, consortia, associations, institutions with possibility of craft beer and local wine tastings and other curiosities. There will be live music with a corner dedicated to international poets and another one to speak about sustainable tourism. The MonigArt will be open from 5.30 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and on Sunday with free entrance.

  • Puegnago Fair, a good chance to discover Garda red wines and extra virgin olive oils

    The traditional appointment with the Puegnago del Garda Fair is renewed, a perfect opportunity for those who want to discover and taste the red wines and the extra virgin olive oil of the Valtènesi, the hills area on the Brescia Riviera of Lake Garda.

    The fair will take place from August 26th to August 28th: ​​the historic frame of Villa Galnica will host the event "Groppello & Casaliva Experience", a great banquet for the two native cultivars of the Brescia Garda Riviera (wine and oil).

    Tasting time: 6.30-10 pm. Entrance 5 euros including sack and glass. There are also two masterclasses conducted by experts, devoted to the evolution of Valtènesi's red wines in the last ten years (saturday 26 to 21.30) and monocultivar oils (Sunday 27-21).

    But there will also be space for the Chiaretto: Saturday 26th from 7.30 pm the terrace of Villa Galnica will host the Rosé Night, gourmet evening with the producers and restaurateurs of Passione Valtènesi.



  • Spumante Garda Doc, here's the new Garda sparkling wine

    The new Spumante Garda Doc has been presented in the last days in Mantova, the new brand of the Consorzio Garda that has been launched on the market with the ambitious goal of becoming “the official sparkling wine on Lake Garda”. The production area includes 31 thousand hectares of vineyards, of which 27.889 in the province of Verona and 3211 between Mantova and Brescia. The Spumante Garda Doc can be produced above all with Garganega, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Trebbiano grapes with traditional or charmant method. After its debut with the collection brut 2016, the first great quantity could be ready for Christmas. The consortium aims to reach 20 million bottles, starting from the choice of producing this wine from different wineries but under this new brand.




  • The 47th wine festival “Palio del Groppello” at Selva Capuzza

    Selva Capuzza, the renowned winery in San Martino della Battaglia, has won the 47th edition of Palio del Groppello. The verdict of the last days has been decided by the Confraternita del Groppello. 20 wineries have participated to the competition and a jury composed by oenologists and sommeliers have chosen 3 wineries as finalists: Capuzza, Sergio Delai in Puegnago del Garda (winner in 2016) and Le Gaine in Bedizzole. First, Confratelli have tasted them and then they have chosen the winner. Selva Capuzza, the winery run by Luca Formentini that is also president of Lugana Consortium, is appreciated for its white wines, Lugana and San Martino, but in this case it has demonstrated its importance even for red wines. This is the first time that the winery has won this recognition. Next year this wine will be the official wine of the Confraternita and it will be served in occasion of all events organized by the association.
