The botanical garden is a collection of over 2,000 plants from all continents and all climate zones. It stands on a land of 10,000 sqm. on the slopes of Mount Lavino. The famous doctor and naturalist Arthur Hruska developed this paradise between 1910 and 1971 with artificial streams and lakes covered with lilies and full of fish, all set in a landscape of the Dolomites recreated in miniature. In 1988, the multimedia artist André Heller bought this land with the adjoining villa.
Now, in the park, you can find works of contemporary sculpture by artists like Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein and Mimmo Paladino.
