From Giotto to De Chirico, 7 centuries of Italian art on display in Salò

It 's definitely one of the greatest events of summer 2016 on Lake Garda: a journey through seven centuries of wonders that recounts the evolution of styles and currents of the main figures in Italian art. Hosted at Mu.Sa. in Salò, the exhibition "From Giotto to De Chirico-

The hidden treasures" offers an exhibition with a selection of nearly 200 works: aim of the curator Vittorio Sgarbi is to "trace" the history of art taking as extremes Giotto, who has renewed the painting as Dante did with the Italian language, and Giorgio De Chirico, the leading exponent of metaphysical painting. All via a "hidden treasure" of works coming from the most important Italian private collections. In this sense the exhibition of Salo can be considered as a natural extension of the exhibition "The Treasure of Italy" held in Milan in 2015 on the occasion of Expo, which tried to document the genetic variety of great masterpieces conceived by the Piedmont Sicilia. "From Giotto to De Chirico" will be open until November 6: schedules and ticket available on www.museodisalo.it tickets.
